Lázaro de Tormes
You will probably marvel at Salamanca’s nighttime skyline of bell towers, and you will for sure seek and find the frog and the skull at the plateresque façade in the historical University building.
As a logo for our meeting, we have selected a more secluded landmark: the statue of Lázaro and his blind master near the Roman bridge over the Tormes river.
In the anonymous masterpiece of Spanish literature from the 16th century, an orphan and poor Lázaro de Tormes is entrusted to a ruthless, blind master’s care. He will need to outsmart the old man’s tricks... Find a moment to pay him a visit and ask for some inspiration.
